During this science and creative writing workshop, we take a close look at nature (flowers, insects, trees, etc) and learn more about their anatomy and functionality in nature. We will also work on our own creative and scientific stories about objects in the natural world that resonate with us. Inspired by the book, The Girl Who Drew Butterflies: How Maria Merian’s Art Changed Science, we will use our time to closely observe so that we may be better able to understand the simplicity and complexity of the natural world and our role in it.
