Storycraft: Short Fiction (ages 15-18)
You have to learn to sit with a story. Its characters, its movement—the story is a living, breathing creature over which you have only so much control. In the end, stories want to be their own beings, and you’re bound to their particular voice, pace, and desire to reveal themselves. We’ll learn to stick with them and listen deeply in this camp to write one fully-realized short story, with lots of encouragement, trust, teeth-grinding, and laughter along the way.
