Zine Making (ages 9-12) - April 22nd, 29th, & May 6th

Do you have a niche interest that you want to share with the world? Any chance you make up little stories for bugs you find on the sidewalk or strangers at the grocery store? Do you have an opinion that you feel really strongly about?

In this workshop, students will learn the history of zine making and read examples together. Students will then get to make their own zines — brainstorming, paper-folding, sketching, scrapping, coloring, etc. Common zines include how-to zines, story-board or comic zines, information zines (birds, space, baking, etc.), poetry zines, memory zines. Maximum creativity encouraged!

If student and parent/guardian grant consent, Elise will make copies of each finished zine to give to local bookstores for free distribution!
