Writing a Diary Film [ages 15-18]

During this 3-hour workshop, students will learn about Diary Films, a type of personal essay film that comes from the mid-century American Experimental movement. Students will write a personal essay or “diary entry,” and choose images that express the feelings and themes of their essay. This class will focus on the use of visual metaphor and how to express verbal ideas through figurative visual language.
