Contemporary American Poetry [ages 12-15]

In this class, students will learn about famous American poets of the 20th and 21st century. We’ll read different poets and analyze their work, then use what we learn as inspiration to write our own poetry! Sharing your poem is completely optional, and students will leave with multiple, original poems and a basic knowledge of contemporary poetry.
